REGIONAL SPONSORED MIGRATION SCHEME VISA (SUBCLASS 187)
Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa (subclass 187)- This is a permanent residency visa for skilled workers who are nominated by their employers in the regional areas. It allows you to live, work and study in Australia. This scheme is applicable under 2 streams:
TEMPORARY RESIDENCE TRANSITION STREAM
This visa is suitable for you if your employer is willing to sponsor you for permanent residency.
You must be under 45 years of age
Approved Australian employer must provide you with job nomination to work in regional Australia
You must have worker with your employer for minimum of 3 years while being on subclass 457 or TSS.
Your employer’s nomination should have been approved 6 months prior to your nomination.
You must meet required English language competency.
You must be a holder of either subclass 457 visa, subclass 482 (TSS) visa or relevant bridging visa A, B or C
You must meet all Australian health and character requirements.
