ADOPTION VISA (SUBCLASS 102)
The Adoption visa (Subclass 102 ) allows children adopted by Australian citizens, permanent residents or an eligible citizen of New Zealand to move to Australia and live with their adoptive parents permanently.
If successful the child be entitled to stay in Australia permanently. They can study and be enrolled in Medicare.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
The child should be outside Australia
Should be either adopted or in the process of getting adopted
The process of adoption should be done with the involvement of relevant Australian state or territory central adoption authority and the country where child currently lives
Child must be under 18 years of age
Must meet all Australian health requirements
Must meet all Australian character requirements
Application must be submitted outside Australia.
The adoptive parent must be able to support the child by providing adequate accommodation, support and financial assistance to meet the needs of the child.
